Koro was a hardcore band from Knoxville, Tennessee. They existed briefly from 1982 - 1984 and officially released an eight song 7". Their sound is a mix of earlier Poison Idea, Angry Samoans and Necros - short and angry songs but with a sense of humor. This post is their unreleased demo that was later put out as an LP titled "Speed Kills" by Sorry State Records.
Also, if you were wondering, Koro is apparently the name of a disorder which causes the sufferer to believe that his penis will disappear into his stomach and he will die. Anyway, check it out.

Koro is actually not an english word, I hear it's japanese from some, Malaysian from others.. but nevertheless it is well known in southeast asia. I think the american term for it is genital retraction syndrome or something.
Just long enough
So, I was talking about this post with someone in the psyche department of my school and it turns out that there were cases in china of men who accused women of Stealing their penis, and it is a disease that can actually spread even though it's psychlogical. hahahaha It's a funny disease and such a great band name.
